Fenelon Falls is home to lock 34 on the Trent-Severn Waterway between Sturgeon Lake and Cameron Lake. It is primarily a tourist town and therefore is most active during the summer season. Arriving by boat on the downstream side is a beautiful trip up a gorge cut through limestone 30 feet high with 60 feet of water under the keel.
We got one of the last spots on the wall with power. The boat in front did not want to move his power cord so John joined two cords together to reach the next pedestal with a free plug.
This was a re-provisioning and laundry stop. Grocery store is across the bridge. There is a nice laundromat just two blocks away. And, bonus the laundromat is right next door to the Book Lady – a great place to spend time waiting for laundry. Once again, we were very glad that we kept the rolling suitcase as it comes in handy going to and from with laundry.

We meet up with with Robert and Donna Lockhart again. We had drinks on “Summer Quarts” a 33′ Egg Harbour, then went to dinner at Murphy’s Lockside Pub. Very interesting dinner conversation about recreational planning and volunteer management. We tried to convince them to join us on the Loop but they haul their boat in Ontario and head to their place in Florida for the winter.
