It never gets old – at least not yet. Someone with outstanding spatial orientation loaded the warehouse. Clearances all around are tight. There might have been 6 inches between Moon Dance and the boat next door and anchors hang over the boats fore and aft. Really respect the crews that pack and unpack these facilities. The gaps between boats are filled with motorcycles, cars and other toys.
The anchor light on Moon Dance only cleared the door by maybe an inch. We presumed it would take more time to lower the mast then to slowly position the boat and trailer to fit through the opening.
In the water by 1:30 p.m. tied up at Wye Heritage Resort by 2:00. We could drive the U-haul to the dock so unloading didn’t take that long. It is the sorting and stowing that takes all the time. It is all away now and can be taken out an re-sorted over the next month or two to get it just right.
