Glad We Stopped in Pentwater

Pentwater doesn’t seem to be on a lot of Loopers itineraries. But it should. It is a cute little town with the municipal marina on the north shore next to the Main Street. the park between the marina and street has gazebos and tables for boaters to hang out and visit over “dock tails”

The Main Street is lined with a collection of cute little souvenir and home decor shops. There is a mini-putt, church, a restaurant and even a comedy club. A few galleries offers activities like learn to paint or draw. A grocery store is just around the corner but is expensive but carries a good selection of products and some ready to serve food.

The slip next door was a family of five. It was fun watching the seven, five and three year-old sword fighting, throwing a foot ball, playing beauty parlour. We commended the parents on their deployment of a “zone defence” and sympathized with their exhaustion.

We wished we had planned for more days here.
