Yes! Finally the end of Lake Michigan and what an end it is.

Chicago. The Windy City, Mud Town, Hog Butcher of the World, city of broad shoulders and Second City. Whatever the name, it will fun.
We are slipped at the lakeshore. A power boat amongst sailors, at least 3 of whom participated in the Chicago-Mackinaw City race last weekend. A race by the way that saw international sailors withdraw as the conditions worsened. Fellow on our slip split his mainsail, one slip over couldn’t change sail as four of his crew were incapacitated by nausea. We were 250 miles away in Hammond Indiana and it was bad there.
But back to Chicago. Metalica is playing at Lollapalooza nearby and the boat is vibrating. When we were coming in today, we heard them 45 minutes out. We actually stopped the boat thinking there might be something wrong.
My goodness what energy there is here. Walkers, cyclists, runners, dog walkers, planes, (no trains thank God) and boats of course.
Really looking forward to seeing and exploring at little of this with Emily, Elliott and Conor.

Love the photo. So glad you have some family coming to visit and explore with you. We are heading out today for ten days and adjusted our plans. Our Lakers Lacrosse team established their second place for the playoffs which means home games here. So I think we will head to Ptbo so friends can pick us up. Just waiting for the schedule. Come September when the waterway quiets somewhat we will head to Orillia way….in meantime still seeing Loopers here. Heard there are 500 this year from pent up travel….enjoy Chicago.
