The Eleventh Day of Christmas

We waited patiently from the first day of Christmas (December 25th) until January 5th to open our present from the kids and to each other. They were shipped to Orange Beach which was a good thing as we really did not have space to take them back in the car.

We even waited until we had re-provisioned and re-organized the boat. But we finally took time to open the boxes containing electric scooters. Having survived our ride in Chicago traffic, we realized they would be a perfect option for the boat. At 35 pounds, they are smaller and lighter than bikes (electric or otherwise) so much easier to load and store. Also, it seems we have moved into the land of sidewalks and bike lanes again. Neither of which were found very often between Chicago and Orange Beach.

Thanks Emily and Elliott, these babies will add a new dimension to our cruising!

  1. You go, girl!!! What a brilliant idea your kids had! I can just see me cruising through Clayton on one of those (as long as it’s not snowing!!)

  2. Haha great idea. Baskets on front for groceries or dogs could enhance the experience. If you stop can you lock them up?
