Views from an anchorage

Just before we went home for Christmas we had a couple of great nights at anchor. It seems to be so much easier here than on the rivers.

It’s certainly easier to get the dogs to shore at a beach.

Last night we were tied to a free dock in Fort Walton Beach, the night before we were at anchor at Fort McRee. Tonight we are at anchor in Choctawhatchee Bay. We are tucked behind a causeway with one other boat and it’s quite calm.

Very picturesque and more economical than a marina.
