A leisurely breakfast in Punta Gorda was followed by a three hour cruise to an anchorage called Pelican Bay. The bay is a popular destination for local boaters who come for the day. Beautiful white sand beaches drop ofF quickly so it is easy to pull a boat close to shore.

We all enjoyed a dinghy ride to shore and exploring the debris line marking high tide.

We had dropped anchor next to Glenn on Grand Cru, a fellow Canadian. He is single handing while wife Janet is home for a few days so we invited him for dinner. We had a pleasant evening drinking wine and telling tales.

The park is closed to visitors as they repair damage caused by hurricane Ian so we planned to depart in the morning.
