We ended our cruise from Stuart at Fort Pierce. Another large marina sandwiched between restaurants and close to downtown. Lots of activity and lots of loopers.
We caught up with Vickie and Jack on Sojourn whom we last saw in Panama City Beach. Plus another 15 boats which were a mix of people starting or just finishing the loop. Heard lots of stories. My favourite was from a group that crossed the Gulf of Mexico under less than ideal conditions. One gentleman went to sleep on the salon floor as it was too rough to sleep on a bed. He woke up to his dog being seasick all over him. Funny now but likely not much fun at the time.
We stayed for two days as I hadn’t booked at slip at our next stop. Between spring break and St Paddy’s Day, slips are harder to come by. We have now slips booked for the next couple of weeks.
Vickie and Jack are staying for nine days then continuing north to Jacksonville where they will complete their loop. Hopefully we will cross paths one more time to help them celebrate.
