The locks on the Erie Canal have some interesting features such as this indicator light.
1, 2 and 3 lights mean the valve that fills the lock is 1/3rd, 2/3rd or completely open. After hundreds of locks it’s kind of exciting to see something we’ve never seen before.
And yes, that is all it takes to qualify as exciting out here on the loop.
